Everything perfect. We have rented the gravel bikes for a tour through the mountains around Kyoto and everything was perfect. Amazing service and really nice owners.Posted on Google![]()

Hele gast vrije man, top fietsen die goed werkten en waar de man ons goed mee geholpen had, we konden de fietsen laat in de middag terug brengen en hem even een appje sturen dat we er aan kwam. Top service gehad.Posted on Google![]()

Had an amazing experience with this bike shop. The owners were so kind and helpful. They shared a drink with us when we returned the bikes and gave us gifts. It was a special experience. Thank you!Posted on Google![]()

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with this bike rental shop and can highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore the area by bike. From the very beginning, the owners were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They took the time to understand what kind of ride we were looking for and gave us excellent route recommendations, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our day. Thanks to their local knowledge, we discovered beautiful roads and had an amazing cycling experience. Communication was always easy and pleasant, and we felt very well taken care of throughout the entire process. We rented a trekking bike and a road bike, and everything worked perfectly without any issues. What impressed us most was how much effort and care the owners put into making sure we had a great experience. They made us feel genuinely welcome, ensured we were well equipped, and were always happy to help with any questions. Their passion for cycling and hospitality really shines through. Thanks to their recommendations and support!Posted on Google![]()

LOVED meeting Aya and his father. 5 star experience, great bikes, Aya went above and beyond for us. Comfy seats, gave us hydralyte water for free, and dropped us back to our hotel which was a really nice surprise. A lovely man and fabulous business. Hire from here :). Posted on Google![]()

Awesome experience hiring 2 x EMTBs for the day. Unfortunately we planned too late and couldn't join a tour, but the manager promptly replied through WhatsApp and helped arrange 2 bikes for us to hire and do a self-guided tour of the city. The manager here is extremely thorough and provided us digital (GoogleMaps) maps + hard copies that we could use to navigate routes and attractions throughout town. We spent the whole day enjoying Kyoto backstreets and taking the sites in at our own pace. Phone mounts and pannier were supplied which made life easy and kept our shoulders and backs free from backpacks. Absolutely lovely manager and very easy to deal with. At the end of the day we celebrated with a cold brew and his father ever came down to say hello and share some stories. A treasured experience from our 3 week trip in Japan, thankyou!Posted on Google![]()

I'm posting here my review to say a big thanks to Kazuki san and especially to Eiji san who give me all the keys to achieve my journey between Kyoto and North Shikoku. The firsts days, with the help of the bike maps Kazuki has made, I could see Kyoto and Nara with a different view and it was marvelous. From the equipments perspective, I could have all the components I could need for my trip, when I didn't have bring it to Japan. The bike I've rent for 14 days (it was an assisted e-bike) was perfect for most of roads in japan (90% of roads/path are paved) so the bike has adapted tires for thoese roads, was really functionnal ans particularly reliable. I could make my journey with ease with this bike. Prices are also very good for the service and the quality of all materials rent. I had a great time with Eiji-san, whether it was before, during, or after renting my bike. I am also sharing with you some photos of my journey.Posted on Google![]()

The night before the rental, we spontaneously planned a bike tour for the next day. We found this shop and reserved some bikes over whatsapp. When we came to the shop the next early morning, we were welcomed by a very friendly and helpfull staff, preparing everything as good as they could for our Road bike trip. Due to our late reservation, we got one road bike and one trekking bike. Nevertheless, both bikes were in superb state so nothing stood in our way for our bike trip! So we thought, we showed the planned route to one of the staff, after which he gave us some hints on how to improve the route. After trying to improve it a bit, he opened up their shops Strava account and helped us create the perfect route for the day. Super Service! We started cycling and planned our pauses at the recommended hidden Cafés and sightseeing spots. After we arrived back at the shop around 8 PM, we had a really nice chat with the Stores manager where he explained about the cycling culture in Kyoto and the must see cycling spots in Japan. We had a great day, thanks!Posted on Google![]()

Echt perfect! Super aardig en behulpzaam voordat we vertrokken. De fietsen waren super fijn. Service echt een 10!!
Spring in Kyoto is the best time of year for cycling. Beautiful flowers bloom everywhere you ride, and the temperature is comfortable.
Cherry blossoms bloom from late March to early April. The further north you go, the later the cherry blossoms bloom, so if you take a long cycling trip north from Kyoto to Tango, you can see a variety of cherry blossoms.
Be careful as June brings a lot of rain.
In summer, we recommend cycling combined with swimming at the Tango Peninsula, known as “Japan’s most beautiful coastline.” Highland cycling routes like the Nakasendo are also great options.
Kyoto city gets hot, so we recommend sunset tours at dusk. The Kitayama area, including Kibune, is also cool and pleasant.
Autumn in Kyoto is long. Recently, warm days continue until early December, and autumn leaves are also appearing later. Arashiyama is particularly a wonderful cycling area.
Nara also has good weather, but be careful as the northern Sea of Japan coast often has bad weather.
Winter in Kyoto has temperatures of 5-10 degrees Celsius, which is a bit cold. It rarely snows.
Since Kyoto is the center of religious events throughout Japan, various events are held at countless temples and shrines in the city during the New Year period. Additionally, with fewer tourists, you can comfortably explore the usually crowded Gion and Higashiyama areas.
On guided tours, we provide complimentary warm matcha and amazake (a rice smoothie drunk in winter).
We offer the highest quality cycling experiences in all genres, from light users to advanced users, including bicycle rentals, guided tours, and package plans that include accommodation.
We offer bicycle rental services at directly managed and partner stores in Kyoto City, the Tango Peninsula, and the Shimanami Kaido (from April 2026). You can drop off your bicycle at different locations.
We are more than just a bicycle rental shop. In addition to the highest quality E-Bikes and regular bicycles, we are also a cycling concierge that can accommodate “all cycling needs,” with a wide range of sizes that can be ridden by small children to people 200 cm tall, pannier bags, cycle computers, emergency support, and one-way returns.
We offer guided E-Bike tours in Kyoto City and the Tango Peninsula. The tours are completely private, and we offer the best cycling experience tailored to the requests and abilities of families, couples, and individuals.
Our guided tours always aim to be the highest quality tours in Japan. We offer the best Japan travel experience that is absolutely impossible with mass-produced cycling tours, bus tours, or walking tours, thanks to “private,” “local guides,” “the highest quality E-Bikes,” and “support cars and mechanic support.”
We offer the best package plans for true cycling enthusiasts, offering the best possible experience in Japan, including the most comfortable roads, beautiful scenery, unique towns, friendly and comfortable accommodation, excellent food, and guides and equipment to immerse you in cycling.
We offer a variety of plans to suit your preferences, the season, and your itinerary, but if you were to ask me, “Which tour is the most recommended?”, it would have to be the five-day tour from Kyoto to the Tango Peninsula. It’s not yet well known by many people, but it strikes a good balance in all aspects: natural beauty, variety, warm people, difficulty, and an environment where you can immerse yourself in cycling.
*Price : per person
Of course, if you don’t need a guide or want to keep costs down, you can book your own hotel, use our bike rental and one-way return service (also available for Tango, Tokyo, the Shimanami Kaido, etc.), luggage transport service, and more, and create your own original itinerary.
Be sure to read this tour page and start designing your own amazing trip!
