Eiji and his team go above and beyond to deliver an amazing bike tour experience. My partner Kyle and I biked to Ine and Amanohashidate, seeing the breathtaking beauty of the Tango region thanks to the Kyoto eBike team. Eiji picked us up from the hotel, then we were able to pick from several bike options to prepare for the ride. From the beginning to end, safety and comfort was top of mind for the team. The team was kind enough to present several route options considering difficulty level, terrain, elevation and weather. They also gifted us gloves since it was cold that day. You’re in good hands as everyone here is a bike expert, who have personally toured these routes and built out an itinerary with the customer in mind.
A unique part of this tour was that we had car support. So when it rained heavily, we were able to retreat inside to warm up and stay dry until the skies cleared up again. And wow, it was a gorgeous day with the changes of weather both inside a forest road and along the coast. You also have drinks and snacks, as the team really takes care of you. They deliver a 5 star experience that never repeats anywhere else.
A major plus is that you can see a lot in one day and avoid the crowd since you’re on a bike. It helps keep you mobile, and the team adjusts the routes based on your comfort and skill level too. So this bike ride is great for families or couples who want a relaxing ride as well as bike enthusiasts looking for more challenges too!
Highly recommend booking this tour early, and clearing the whole day for it! It’s one of the most memorable parts of our Japan trip.
We were very lucky to have a affable guide to. Eiji was very friendly, making sure we had lots of fun as well as rest. He took us to a nice rest stop before our ride, where we loaded up on tasty snacks. After a period of uphill biking, Eiji recommended an excellent restaurant for lunch. The ramen we ate was delicious, a place we would have never visited without his help! Eiji also took us to beautiful spots around Ine, and caught a squid 🦑 what a fun surprise. He is very personable and customizes the tour based on what the clients asks for. So I guarantee you that you’ll have a wonderful time! Don’t miss out!

Some say the best way to truly experience a city is on a bike - it’s a great way to see an immense amount in the limited time we have as travelers. Our bike tour, led by passionate cyclists, through Kyoto gave us the opportunity to see Kyoto’s main attractions and the heart of the city. Our guide took us through multiple areas providing both historical and cultural context. We had fun exploring the city in a way you wouldn’t ever be able to in a taxi. If you have the opportunity you should definitely consider this for your next two-wheeled adventure!

We had an amazing 5 day cycle with Kazuki. As a group of 9 cyclists coming from Australia , he listened and responded to our needs, whilst giving us the opportunity to immerse ourselves in Japanese environment, culture and food. We cycled from central Kyoto , though the Arishyama bamboo forest, over the range to Ine and the north coast. (Sea of Japan). Kazuki was the best guide, ably assisted by Mr.Eijie.
He organized the routes and all the logistics impeccably. His choice of accomodations and food stops were AWESOME. Kazuki is such a kind and generous guide and so responsive to all our quirks. Simply amazing! This is the way to see the real Japan!! Thanks for an incredible and most memorable trip!!

The owner was so lovely and so helpful! We had an amazing time biking around Kyoto. The bikes were so high tech and very speedy and the owner suggested a great track that was less busy. It was so hot that the owner kindly picked us up from our last stop on the ride and took us to the station. Highly recommend if your wanting to explore Kyoto on bikes. A Fantastic Experience – Highly Recommended!
We had a wonderful cycling tour in Kyoto with this company, and I cannot recommend them enough. The ride lasted about 3–4 hours and, despite the very hot weather, everything went smoothly and safely. The team’s professionalism and kindness truly stood out.
They made sure we were comfortable at all times, and safety was clearly their top priority. A support car followed the group with a replacement bike, which was incredibly reassuring. This even allowed my partner, who felt unwell from the heat, to be assisted quickly and continue the experience without worry.
What impressed us most was the team’s warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone enjoyed the tour. Thanks to them, we discovered Kyoto in such an enjoyable and memorable way.
They also organize cycling tours in Amanohashidate, on the Japanese coast, which I highly recommend as it is absolutely stunning. And without a doubt, the next time we come to Japan, the very first thing we will do is book another ride with them!

¡No puedo recomendarlo más! Eiji, el dueño, habla perfecto inglés y es muy amable. Nos dio dos bicicletas eléctricas espectaculares, último modelo, y nos preparó todo lo que necesitábamos para el viaje desde la tienda hasta Arashiyama con nuestra hija de dos años. A mitad de camino, nuestra hija no quiso ponerse el casco y Eiji vino a buscarnos las bicicletas personalmente — ¡hasta nos ofreció un descuento! ¡Un genio! ¡¡¡Muchas gracias Eiji!!!!

I can't recommend this place enough! Eiji, the owner, speaks perfect English and is incredibly kind. He gave us two amazing, top-of-the-line electric bikes and made sure we had everything we needed for our ride to Arashiyama with our two-year-old daughter.
Halfway through, our daughter refused to wear the helmet, and Eiji kindly came to pick up the bikes himself — he even offered us a discount. Absolute legend! Thank you ver much Eiji!

We had so much fun biking around kyoto and up to a few temples and shrines in the mountain. Eiji, who was running the shop was absolutely incredible. He helped us so much and was so friendly and fun to talk with. He helped find bikes that work with our heights and added a pouch on the back of my bike for my wife's purse. When he heard where we wanted to go he helped us plan a route that took us alongside a beautiful river. He also drove us to the river so we wouldn't have to bike through the city and he even picked us up after.
