Frequently asked questions
How many hours does it take to go around Kyoto?
Kyoto can be thought of as the same size as the old town of Rome. If you simply go around the city as a training, you can do it in about 4 hours, as it is about 50km.
However, just as no one can see Rome in 4 hours, you basically cannot see everything even if you spend several days.
Generally,
- 1 day for Arashiyama and Kinkakuji on the west side
- 1 day for Gion and Nanzenji on the east side
- 1 day for the area from Kiyomizu-dera to Fushimi Inari on the southeast side
- 1 day for the area from Nijo Castle to Kamigamo Shrine on the north side
- 1 day for Kurama-dera and Kitayama areas further north
- 1 day for Mt. Hiei and the southern area of Lake Biwa further east
- 1 day for Uji and Wazuka areas further south
It is best to plan your itinerary according to your preferences and time.

CHow long does the battery last?
Our E-Bikes are equipped with batteries that last longer than any other company in the city. The city type is listed as lasting for 60km, and the touring type for 100km, so it's enough for the average person to get around the city. In fact, 90% of users return the bike with more than half the battery left.
However, if you go over the mountains to Lake Biwa or Wazuka, the battery may run out on the way back. In that case, choose a larger capacity type such as an E-Touring Bike. If you are thinking of a long ride, please consult in advance.
If you are staying for multiple nights and renting an E-Bike, we can also rent a charger for an additional 500 yen.
Can I attach a child seat to the bicycle? Up to what age can a child ride?
Yes, we have Bobike child seats and can install them on our E-City Bike and E-Touring Bike for an additional 500 yen. They can accommodate children up to 6 years old.
They cannot be installed on road bikes or mountain bikes.
