For us Japanese, it is natural that women and children can walk alone in the city at night. People from many countries would be surprised at how safe Japan is at night, with many shops open and the city being clean as a result.

Another appealing feature is that famous spots like Gion, which are crowded during the day, are less crowded at night and you can enjoy a more mystical atmosphere.

E-Bikes are a great tool for night sightseeing.

Although it doesn't have the same absolute advantages as during the day, E-Bikes still offer a great experience in Kyoto at night. It's faster than a taxi, more comfortable than walking, and you can climb hills and look down at the night view. The only drawback is that you can't drink alcohol.

Yasaka Shrine

This is the head temple of the apploximately 2,300 Yasaka related shrines across Japan, and is the second most visited shrine in Kyoto after Fushimi Inari.
At night, a mystical and beautiful sight unfolds, making it hard to believe that it is crowded during the day.

Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka at night

We rode bike up Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka. When there were people around, We got off and pushed my bike for safety. There are a lot of people during the day, but at night it's very mysterious.

This area is far from the station and taxis cannot get there, so unless you're staying nearby the only way to get there is by bicycle.

A special urban night view

We will climb to a special spot for viewing Kyoto's night views that would be difficult to reach without a local guide. Since it is an E-Bike, it is easy even for beginners.

Cycling through the temple town

Kyoto has several large temples that house towns inside, and their interiors are solemnly lit up. It's too far to walk there, and taxis can't get there, so it's an experience that can only be had by bicycle.

Visit seasonal nightlife events*

Kyoto has a variety of seasonal night events, such as cherry blossoms in spring, Kamo River in summer, autumn leaves, and Christmas illuminations in winter. A guide who knows the local area well will introduce you to some special events.

Stroll along the beautiful riverside willow trees of Gion

The most beautiful part of Gion at night is the willow-lined riverside. You can feel the atmosphere of the night town from hundreds of years ago.

【Pattern1】Return to the Nijo and transfer to the hotel

Finally, cycle to Nijo. You will ride through the backstreets where there are few cars. After you reach the finish line, you will be taken back to the hotel.

If you have time, you can stop by Kyoto's best night view spot on your way back to the hotel.

【Pattern2】You can also return the bike in Gion and disband.

Gion is the best nightlife district in Kyoto and has many bars. If you want to relax and have a drink there, you can end the tour here. You can return to your hotel by taxi or train.
