We had an absolutely fantastic experience with this bike rental shop and can highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore the area by bike. From the very beginning, the owners were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They took the time to understand what kind of ride we were looking for and gave us excellent route recommendations, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our day. Thanks to their local knowledge, we discovered beautiful roads and had an amazing cycling experience. Communication was always easy and pleasant, and we felt very well taken care of throughout the entire process. We rented a trekking bike and a road bike, and everything worked perfectly without any issues. What impressed us most was how much effort and care the owners put into making sure we had a great experience. They made us feel genuinely welcome, ensured we were well equipped, and were always happy to help with any questions. Their passion for cycling and hospitality really shines through. Wir haben bei schönstem Sonnenschein eine tolle 4-stündige E-Bike-Tour gemacht. Unser sympathischer Tour-Guide Kazuki kann perfekt Englisch und hat uns mit dem Auto vom Hotel abgeholt. Dabei haben wir sehr nett und interessant geplaudert. Unsere kleine Gruppe bestand aus 4 Personen und wir waren froh, sehr neue E-Bikes mit idealen Rahmengrößen zu bekommen. Der gut gelaunte Eiji von Kyoto E-Bikes Rental hat uns die Räder perfekt angepasst und war auch zwischendurch auf der Strecke bei kurzen Snack-Pausen zur Stelle, hat Reifendruck und Bremsen gecheckt. Die Tour führte uns durch ruhige Wohnviertel hinaus an den Stadtrand von Kyoto, vorbei an Reisfeldern, Tempelanlagen und durch den fantastischen Bambuswald von Arashiyama. Das Team mit Eiji, seinem Vater und Kazuki können wir nur wärmstens empfehlen. Awesome experience hiring 2 x EMTBs for the day. Unfortunately we planned too late and couldn't join a tour, but the manager promptly replied through WhatsApp and helped arrange 2 bikes for us to hire and do a self-guided tour of the city. The manager here is extremely thorough and provided us digital (GoogleMaps) maps + hard copies that we could use to navigate routes and attractions throughout town. We spent the whole day enjoying Kyoto backstreets and taking the sites in at our own pace. Phone mounts and pannier were supplied which made life easy and kept our shoulders and backs free from backpacks. Absolutely lovely manager and very easy to deal with. At the end of the day we celebrated with a cold brew and his father ever came down to say hello and share some stories. A treasured experience from our 3 week trip in Japan, thankyou!

I'm posting here my review to say a big thanks to Kazuki san and especially to Eiji san who give me all the keys to achieve my journey between Kyoto and North Shikoku. The firsts days, with the help of the bike maps Kazuki has made, I could see Kyoto and Nara with a different view and it was marvelous. From the equipments perspective, I could have all the components I could need for my trip, when I didn't have bring it to Japan. The bike I've rent for 14 days (it was an assisted e-bike) was perfect for most of roads in japan (90% of roads/path are paved) so the bike has adapted tires for thoese roads, was really functionnal ans particularly reliable. I could make my journey with ease with this bike. Prices are also very good for the service and the quality of all materials rent. I had a great time with Eiji-san, whether it was before, during, or after renting my bike. I am also sharing with you some photos of my journey.

The night before the rental, we spontaneously planned a bike tour for the next day. We found this shop and reserved some bikes over whatsapp. When we came to the shop the next early morning, we were welcomed by a very friendly and helpfull staff, preparing everything as good as they could for our Road bike trip. Due to our late reservation, we got one road bike and one trekking bike. Nevertheless, both bikes were in superb state so nothing stood in our way for our bike trip! So we thought, we showed the planned route to one of the staff, after which he gave us some hints on how to improve the route. After trying to improve it a bit, he opened up their shops Strava account and helped us create the perfect route for the day. Super Service! We started cycling and planned our pauses at the recommended hidden Cafés and sightseeing spots. After we arrived back at the shop around 8 PM, we had a really nice chat with the Stores manager where he explained about the cycling culture in Kyoto and the must see cycling spots in Japan.
